We can state beyond any doubt that the Hotel Terme Preistoriche is historically one of the first hotels  in Montegrotto Terme. This primacy is due to the obstinacy and the talent of the founder – Agostino Braggion – who together with Emilio Friso managed to found the indipendent common of Montegrotto Terme at the very end of  XIX century. The hotel was then run by the Braggions and by the venetian Count Giustiniani who influenced the atmosphere of the place by giving it the refined taste we can still appreciate today. Turned into a military hospital during the Second World War, the building had been renwed and divided into two parts: the Hotel Terme Preistoriche and the Hotel Terme Miramonti.
Angelica Rosa Braggion married Giorgio Stoppato and the Stoppatos still run the hotel today. Surrounded by a 22.000 squared meters park and 47 rooms provided of all comforts, the Preistoriche wraps the guest with a relaxing atmosphere and satisfies also the most particular requests.
The hotel has three thermal swimmingpools, two of them are outdoor and one indoor, with 11 whirpools, Kneipp course, 5 waterfalls and aquabikes. Moreover, in a building close to the swimmingpools, the gym, the sauna, the sunlamp and two bars are at guests’ disposal.
The Preistoriche, beyond relax, offers a fine cusine, amusing  parties with music onece a week and the incomparable welcome and experience of a family thet more than others has written the story of Montegrotto Terme.
The success reached in these years is wittnessed by several awards, the most recent are the Touring Club Italiano  award “Stanze Italiane” in 2004 and 2005 and an enthusiastic review pubblished on the “New York Times” and on the “herald Tribune”.
