The Serego Alighieri Possessioni
Dante Alighieri spent several years of his exile in Verona. His son, Pietro, came to love the beauty of the city and its countryside, and so decided to remain in the area, purchasing the Casal dei Ronchi in Gargagnago estate (possessione) in the heart of the historic Valpolicella region in 1353.
Twenty generations later, both house and estate still belong to Dante's direct descendants, the Counts Serego Alighieri. Today, the Villa stands surrounded by Valpolicella vineyards, the centre of traditional farming activities associated with a large and flourishing estate with the nearby Foresteria providing accommodation for guests.

The Foresteria, hospitality and an exclusive meeting place
Thanks to careful conservative restoration, eight small apartments, two functions rooms, and various smaller dedicated rooms for tastings or events have been made out of the old Villa outbuildings and turned into the Foresteria, providing an elegant location for both leisure and business activities.
The buildings are furnished in traditional aristocratic country house style, and equipped with all modern comforts to allow guests to experience the charms of life on an estate in the beautiful Valpolicella countryside.
